At Rectory Farm Primary School, we transfer the values of our learning and behavioural standards in the classroom to our PE and Sport. We have an inclusive approach, ensuring that all of our children benefit from quality teaching, including the deployment of specialist coaches.

The variety of sports on offer range from traditional games such as hockey, netball, rugby, gymnastics, football, cricket, athletics, tennis, cross country and badminton to more diverse sports such as goalball, archery, golf, dance and curling. Our curriculum offers a wealth of opportunities such as taking part in competitions and festivals as well as an extensive extracurricular program. Our children enjoy taking part in sport, they learn new skills, learn to work as a team and understand the importance of keeping active and increasing fitness.

For our Y5/6 children we offer a Young Leaders Program which promotes leadership, responsibility, compassion, organisation and reliability for those pupils wanting the opportunity to plan and lead games for younger children. In addition to this, they are involved in leading our annual Sports Day which is a traditional format of team races, promoting competitive but fair sport for all.
