At Rectory Farm Primary we believe strongly in giving every child a chance to play an important role in their school community. Each year group comes with a new responsibility to learn about.

Year 1 - Learning to be responsible for myself!

Year 2 - All children in Year 2 are members of the school's Eco-Council

Year 3 - Every child is a Digital Leader in Year 3

Year 4 - We learn about mental health and each and every Year 4 is a Wellbeing-Warrior

Year 5 - All the Year 5 children are Play Leaders

Year 6 - Our brilliant Reading Champions are our Year 6 children

By experiencing a wide range of responsibilities throughout school, we want every child to confidently have their say and make our school community the best it can be.

Junior Leadership Team

Rectory Farm's School Council has changed! We now have a Junior Leadership Team, just like the adult Senior Leadership Team with roles and responsibilities across our school. For example, children can have responsibilities linked to Early Years, KS1, KS2, outdoor play, business and finance or inclusion and supporting children with SEND. It means that our children have a say and some responsibility in all areas of school life.

First, we elect a Head Boy and Head Girl, who are voted for by all the children in Key Stage 2 and the adults.

Junior Leaders are elected by the children in each class, through a democratic vote. Children are a member of the Junior Leadership Team for one academic year.

Check out this area to find out what our Junior Leaders will be working on this year.
